CONGREGATION SHAAREY TORAH

Located in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn, NY, Congregation Shaarey Torah - affectionately know as The Shtieble - is a growing Orthodox Jewish Kehilla with deep roots in the community.

Originally founded by Rabbi Yisroel Bergstein z'tl over 60 years ago, and guided and inspired since May 2000 by our Rov and spiritual leader Rabbi Moshe Plutchok, Shlita, The Shtieble with its ongoing commitment to Klal Yisroel elevates the lives of countless Jews every day.

Beginning in the early morning with our chaburah and Shacharis and continuing throughout the day and night with Limud Torah in the Yeshiva and Kollel, and with numerous weekly shiurim and chavrusahs, the sounds of Torah and Tefila emanate throughout the building day and night.

Although the shul davens Nusach Ashkenaz, the Kehilla is extremely diverse. We have Ashkenazim, Sefardim and Chassidim blending together in a warm and friendly environment that is a combination of old-world heimishe, and slightly traditional and modern all at the same time. We have dozens of youngsters from newborns to 19 years old in our Shabbos groups, Avos U'Banim and youth programs. We also have a  large and proud contingent of Russian-American Jews who are active in helping us in our efforts to be makarev Russian youths and families in the largest Russian-American Jewish community in the United States.
